Darren Sabom – Singapore River One

Darren joined 8M Real Estate in 2020 with over 13 years of experience in real estate. He is responsible for acquisitions and
portfolio management.
Prior to joining 8M, he worked at SC Capital Partners, where
he was responsible for portfolio management, value
enhancement, realization activities, and the operations of the
firm’s opportunistic funds.
From 2014-2017, he worked at Invesco Real Estate as the Head of Underwriting (APAC) and Southeast Asia Acquisitions,
where he was responsible for ensuring the integrity and
consistency of the regional underwriting process as well as
sourcing investment opportunities across Southeast Asia.
From 2012-2014, he was Senior Vice President at Fine Grain Property in Singapore, where he sourced new deals and
managed existing investments, the most notable of which
was the ground-up development of a 300-room, SS180 million hotel. Darren began his career in the real estate industry as an
apprentice carpenter before working his way up to project
manager for a developer of high-end energy efficient homes.
Darren received his Masters of Business Administration
degree from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie
Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Arts in
